Worth knowing
- Conversion runs inside the browser; the server never receives the file.
- JPG is lossy — the quality slider goes before you hit convert, default 90.
- No browser decodes TIFF natively (it fails outright), so we decode it ourselves — that covers scans, faxes and scanner-app exports, including Deflate-compressed ones.
- Each page of the TIFF becomes its own JPG, so a long document yields several files.
- Large images can be capped by their longest edge, which cuts memory use a lot.
- Drop a batch and convert them together, then download everything as one zip.
- Keep single files under 2 GB and batches under 60 files.
- No third-party scripts are loaded and results are never collected.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Conversion uses the decoding and encoding built into your browser, and nothing is sent to the server. Open the Network panel in devtools to check for yourself.
Why is there no signup?
The server only serves a static page; it never touches your files. Without accounts there is nothing to log in to.
Can it handle batches?
Yes. Drop a batch, pick a target per file, then download individually or as a single zip.
What quality should I use?
The default 90 already saves a lot without visible loss. Use 95+ for archival, 75–85 for web images.
Is the original modified?
No. The original stays as it is; the result downloads as a new file with the target extension.
